Autrey Mill's 46-acre nature preserve, 2 miles of trails, creek, pavilions, and animal exhibits create the perfect setting for our Nature Camps. We offer 5 different and exciting Nature Summer Camp themes - different activities each week.

Bird Camp (offered weeks of June 7th and June 14th) - During Bird Camp our campers will learn to recognize some of the common birds of our area by sight and sound!  We will also dissect owl pellets, create bird feeders, and learn about some of the dangers facing our feathered friends.

Reptile Camp (offered weeks of June 21st and June 28th) - We will be featuring reptiles in our second camp theme.  Reptiles are always a favorite subject of our campers, and it is easy to understand why.  Each day of reptile camp will feature a live reptile encounter, nature hikes, and reptile related games and activities.

Creepy Crawlies Camp (offered weeks of July 12th and July 19th) - Our campers will have a fantastic time with insects, arachnids, and more during Creepy Crawly camp!  We will meet a variety of invertebrates up close and personal, as well as spend a lot of time in our forest searching for these peculiar creatures.  In addition to live animal encounters with these animals, campers will create invertebrate art and play 'creepy' games!

Wonderful Water Camp (offered weeks of July 26th and August 2nd) - Water Week is always a popular theme with our campers, so sign up early!  Campers will enjoy exploring our creek and wetland, conduct interesting experiments with water, and learn about how important water is to a variety of animals from the world through live animal encounters.

Mr. Ben's Wild Adventure Week NEW (offered the week of August 8th) - Join us for our last week of camp taught by its director, Mr. Ben. We will use exciting tools to explore every inch of our 46 acres, play fun games, meet animals, make boats for creek races, and have s'mores round a campfire.

Autrey Mill also offers Heritage Summer Camps where campers explore life during different periods of American history through activities, games, and crafts.
